Idioms' time!

The use of idioms in the language amplifies the message and grabs the attention of the audience. But the catch is, it is time taking and needs some efforts to make them a part of the active vocabulary.

To achieve the aim of making these idioms a part of my students vocabulary, I gave them a task to create posters with the literal meaning that can be derived from the words of the idiom, a drawing which demonstrates it and the meaning of the idiom. This made it easier for the students to learn and retain these idioms. And to my pleasure, it became a second nature to them to use them.
